The entire area of Hinoki Forest Village covers an area of about 3.4 hectares, with 28 Japanese-style wooden historical buildings. When we opened the sliding door, we suddenly felt like we were traveling through time and space in the silence. In the aroma of Hinoki wood, we stepped into history - The living environment of our ancestors.

Chiayi Sawmill

A large-span wooden structure building with distinctive Alishan cypress wood building materials.


Built in the third year of the Taisho period (1914 AD) during the Japanese occupation, it was the largest government-owned timber industrial park owned by the Japanese government during the Japanese occupation. It was responsible for storing the wood cut down from the Ali Mountain and undertaking the important task of processing the wood into "timber". , the scale output of that year was known as the first in the East.

The Historical Relics Museum is located in Chiayi Park. The park is full of humanistic historical materials and rich and precious history. It is like a microcosm of Taiwan’s modern history. Wenhua Road Night Market

A must-visit for foodies


Since the Japanese colonial period, Chiayi City has become the busiest business district on the Chianan Plain with its unique shops and merchandise on Datong (Zhongshan Road), Ertong (Zhongzheng Road) and Wenhua Road.
